In the world, many big cities try to go green, you will see few examples below.

  1. Copenhague, Denmark
If you walk in Copenhague, you will see a lot of bikes, the city has got 160 kilometers of cycle track, in Copenhague, 55 % of the residents of this city use a bike to get at work.
Copenhague is a green city, in this city, there are parks, natural reserves, lakes and rivers.

2. Göteborg, Sweden

Göteborg was elected the most sustainable city of the world, to become a green city, the municipality of the city have 12 goals like preserve biodiversity, reduce climate change and limit noise in the city.
Nowadays, more than 4 billions € have been spent for goals such as bike renting and electric cars. In Göteborg, the ferry is connected at the dock when it arrives, it’s very good to reduce CO2. 3. San Francisco, USA

San Francisco is a big city in California, know for his famous bridge, the Golden Gate. But San Francisco isn’t a simply city, the city is a recycling specialist. San Francisco has got a very big sorting center who is calling Pier 96. Pier 96 has got three bins, one blue for the recyclabe, one green for the compost and one black for the other waste. With this sorting center, the city recycles 80 % of her waste. But San Francico doesn’t want to stop there, the goal of the city is to recycle 100 % of the waste before 2020

4. Reykjavik, Iceland

5. Zurich, Switzerland

Zurich has a programm who is called “society 2000 watts”. The goal of this project is to divise in 2 the electricity consumption before 2050. In the world, the average consumption is 6300 watts by people, in this city, the average consumption is 42000 watts. For that, the municipality sensitized his residents and use thermal insolation.
In Zurich, 66 % of residents move on foot, on bike or in public transport.
Zurich has too a lot of green spaces and a clean river.
